Hi,
I did'n know you talk english too...
My french is very bad so english will do much better.
You should first do the 'white-paper' test to check if you RS232 interface works fine.
If the interface is okay then communication/flashing Asuro should work fine.
If not, the Asuro receiver or transmitter could be defective.
If the ' Selftest' program is still in the Asuro then in hyperterminal you should see the word "ASURO" 3 seconds after Asuro is switched on.
This indicates that the Asuro transmitter is okay.
If you still get t.t.t.t.t.t. then probably the Asuro receiver is defect.
There are some tricks to check it.
Use a pocket lamp and shine it on the Asuro receiver (that 3-pin device lying on its back) when flashing. Some receivers do work if you light it. But if it does work then, the receiver is degraded/defective and should be replaced.
Some neon light lamp may influence the data transmission/flashing so try flashing while neon lamps are switched off.

3-pin Device: The black IR REceiver. It has three pins/wires/connectors.

Hi,
well that seems okay. The Selftest is in Asuro and at least the Asuro transmitter is working.
see: http://home.planet.nl/~winko001/Asuro/S ... PagFrm.htm (find: 'SelfTest Logging')
It's still unclear to me if you did the 'white-paper' test........
If your 'white paper' test is okay then it must be the Asuro's infrared receiver which is defective.

I am testing with the white paper one week ago, but nothing...
But I will try tomorrow.
If this test isn't okay, what is mean?

Hi,
The RS232-Interface contains a infrared-transmitter and a infrared-receiver.
If you press some keys on your keyboard using Hyperterminal, then Hyperterminal WILL NOT SHOW the typed keyboard letters but Hyperterminal will send the pressed keyboard letters to the RS232-Iinterface and the RS232-Interface infrared-transmitter sends the typed letter by infrared light.
The infrared-receiver on the RS232-Interface will receive this letter.
(If the transmitter AND receiver both are okay)
The reception/receivement will be best if you hold a white paper above the RS232-Interface so the transmitted infrared light will be reflected very well to the infrared-receiver.
If the infrared-receiver on the RS232-Interface receives the transmitted/typed letter then, and only then, Hyperterminal will show that letter.
So if the RS232-Interface infrared-transmitter or infrared-receiver are defective: NO TEXT WILL APPEAR IN HYPERTERMINAL!
You can easily test this by removing the RS232-Interface and then type some letters on your keyboard. No letters will appear in Hyperterminal.
So if Hyperterminal does NOT show any or the wrong typed letters then something is wrong with the RS232-Interface.
I hope this makes things clear.
Regards,
Henk

euh...
...I made a small language mistake in my last posting...
'letter' and 'letters' should be read as 'character' and 'characters'.

I am doing the test "white paper" but Hyperterminal will not show characters.
So the transmitter or receiver must be defective.
What do I do?

Hi,
Yes you are right.
Check all solderings.
Check if the right components are on the right positions.
Keep pressing keys in Hyperterminal while rotating the potentiometer until text appers.
The potentionmeter adjusts the transmit frequency of 36KHz a little bit.
Just let me know if this works.

Hi,
I have already test to keep pressing keys in Hyperterminal while rotating the potentiometer. I have yet test today but nothing...
I think solderings are good and same for components (right in right position).
So I don't know what I will do.
But tomorrow, I see my teacher and I will built an other RS232-interface.
I put two photos of my current RS232-Interface...

How see if a infrared-receiver is good?
I know that we can see if the transmitter is good in using a camera
