Hello,

I would like to setup a wireless serial connection in order to command remotely my RP6 via terminal.

Any suggestion on how to do and what kind of boards to use?
Do i need to convert the uart signal level ?

Thanks for any suggestions

Francesco

Any generic Bluetooth module should work. Just do a search for bluetooth module.
But most of them use 3.3V Levels, so you may have to add some level shifters in between.
(most esiest ist to use some standard CMOS buffer ICs or even some simple transistors)

But that depends on the specific module and I can not answer this in general - all are different. Some have level shifters integrated, some not.
Some have RS232 Shifters with +-12V so you have to consult the modules documentation.

Best regards,
SlyD

Thanks for the answer. I would exclude BlueTooth tecnology for it's poor range. Maybe any Xbee module or similar should be ok? What kind of levels output the RP6? Sorry for the questions that shold be obvious for you... :-)

Thanks again

Francesco

There are many Class 1 Modules with about 100m range.
But of course an XBee should work well too.

5V TTL
