Hi,

I have trouble finding the right specifications for the logging units. I scrambled a bit of info from shopping sites - could anyone confirm?

BS1400
12v 2000 mA? What's the real power consumption? I hope it's not close to 24 Watt!
2MB Flash
SD Slot
Alert capability - so replaces / includes the TL-ALU9?

BS1000
5v 200 mA? So around 1 Watt power consumption?
2MB Flash
no SD Slot
Alert capability - so replaces / includes the TL-ALU9?

BS-750SD
5–7,5V 100 mA? So around 0,5 Watt power consumption?
2MB Flash
SD Slot
No Alert capability - so it would require the TL-ALU9 as an Addon Unit which would be around 5 V 500 mA (2,5 Watt) - so total 3Watt Power?

Since only the BS-750 and the BS1400 have an SD card option I'd really like to know. As I'm planning to get around 10, maybe more, sensors the 2MB Flash will not suffice (I read this provides around 9 days of datalogging for 10 sensors).
A BS1400 would be cheaper than a BS-750SD and a TL-ALU9, but 3 Watt versus 24 makes it a tough decision. Especially since I don't need the GPRS stuff. Can GPRS etc. be disabled to reduce the power consumption?

Thanks in advance :)

So I've just bought the BS1400. For the price point the exterior build quality could be better but the internals seem to work really well.
The power consumption is around 0,9 - 1,2 Watts (without a SIM inserted into the GPRS slot).

I've stumbled upon an issue though.
At first the BS 1400 configuration wasn't available in the tools section of the templogger suite. I fixed that by adding it manually from the tools folder inside the installation directory.
However, I can't read data from the device. It says:
Device (first usb device only)

What is meant by that?
First USB device being plugged in?
First in terms of order in the sys manager?
First in terms of "first USB port (whatever that means these days)?

Best regards
