All required software tools for ASURO can be found on this page. It is recommended to save the files onto your harddrive first before running the executables (right click onto the apropriate link and select the menu item "save target to" or similar) .
[TOOL] ASURO Flash v.1.1 (new v. 1.55 only for windows can be found below)
You need this program written by DLR to download programs to the AVR Microcontroller on ASURO. Installation is not required: simply put it somewhere onto your hard disk (e.g. C:ASURO or /usr/local/bin for Linux - do not forget to make it executable!).
This is a new Version of Asuro Flash - only for Windows. It uses a new FTDI USB Driver which is included in the .zip archive. You need to uninstall any previous Version of the USB Driver prior to install the new one! (use FTDIUNIN.EXE included in the driver archive!)
This Version does not use the VCP (Virtual Comport) Driver of FTDI - it uses the D2XX Version. So you can't access the USB IR Adapter via Comport anymore.
DoctorAsuro is an Asuro-Atmega8L microcontroller emulator where users easily can control and inspect each individual microcontroller IO-Port with a single mouseclick. Also all measurable voltages values can be measured and shown by a single mouseclick. English and German helpfile is included. DoctorAsuro needs the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework to run. Download the zipfile, unzip it and run 'Setup.exe'. It will automatically download and install the .NET 2.0 Framework if it is not found on the computer. Downloading and installing of the .NET 2.0 Framework may take some time.
AVR Studio® is ATMEL®s' Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for writing and debugging AVR applications. It includes an assembler and a simulator. You can use it optional for the development with AVR microcontrollers.
